Following the interviews for a new vicar, we are delighted to announce that Rev Philip Carman has been appointed to be the next vicar of St Andrew’s. The official announcement is as follows:
‘The Bishop of Leeds, The Rt Revd Nicholas Baines, is pleased to announce that the Revd Philip Carman, currently serving as Associate Minister in the Parish of Huntington, Earswick and New Earswick in the Diocese of York has been appointed as Vicar of St Andrew’s, Starbeck in the Ripon Episcopal Area. The Licensing Service will take place at St Andrew’s on 30th September 2016 at 6.30pm. Bishop Nick Baines will be officiating.’
We would like to thank Bishop James, Archdeacon Beverley and our patron, Matthew Evans, for their invaluable support through the process. We would also like to thank everyone who has been involved in this process, especially those who helped to make the day go so smoothly, those who prayed faithfully and those who worked hard to present our church building so well. We are sure that the right person has been appointed to lead St Andrew’s into the next phase in its journey. Most of all we are thankful to God for his guidance and his blessing on us which has made the process such a successful and rewarding experience.
