Building Project Week 22 of (26)

With the project nearer completion we are getting a better idea of the finishing date which is probably 22 May but even then we might have to factor in the building Inspectors visit. The number of vans in the car park and builders that can be seen is testament to the amount of work going on in the new extension at the moment. The new sliding glass doors are in place as is the ventilation unit and the 3 new openings into the church are all complete and the screed has been laid to form the main flooring material.. On Tuesday the Building Working Group met to ensure all funding, details, advance planning and “tweaks” are kept up to date, on Wednesday we had a site meeting with the architect, builders and other consultants to review work, costs, facilities and planned progress and on Thursday we had our weekly prayer meeting about it all. The boundary wall is nearly complete, next week they are getting the partition walls put up in the extension and starting work on the kitchen and lobby area (which is why you will see the partitioned off area at the back of church and the sound desk moved slightly). The WREN grant contract has arrived for signing and as soon as Completion on Pearl St Property is finalised (end of April) that amount will be added to the building fund. We are also looking at the number and type of door locks and fire escape routes.blogweek22.1 VLUU L200 / Samsung L200 VLUU L200 / Samsung L200 VLUU L200 / Samsung L200 VLUU L200 / Samsung L200 VLUU L200 / Samsung L200
