Building Project week 3 of 22

This week has seen more digging out of the soil between the church and McColls and then getting rid of that spoil (which is why the car park is such a mess.) Now that McColls wall is exposed they have to repair that and put a bitumen lining on it before building concrete foundations that will take the structure of the new extension. The blue lines by the gap on the high st are marking out where the new steps will be (and a water manhole cover sited.)We are also starting to look at how we will fit out the new kitchen and extension with appliances and furnishings and decor. WREN (who we are approaching about a large grant have asked for some more information about other support we are getting which we read as a good sign that they too are interested in supporting us) Members of the congregation and other churches have been forwarding on to us other ideas for fundraising and where we might obtain grants from but do remember we still need loans, gifts , pledges and support for eventsĀ  and collections to make all this happen. There are gift aid envelopes, standing order forms and more details about the project on the building project table at the back of church.
