Starbeck Welcome Project The Starbeck Welcome Project exists to enable us to improve our ability to welcome all-comers into the premises and provide much better facilities and improved hospitality. The building project is significant to improving our welcome to all in Starbeck and the surrounding area.
A glance at the activities and events page will show how busy our building can be with people, so we set out to improve the building. In 2006 the leadership of St Andrew’s began looking at ways the building could be improved for the benefit of both the regular worshipping community and the wider community in Starbeck. A major consideration was for the building to be easily accessible to all people regardless of any disability; to provide for the comfort and needs of all visitors, and to create a warm, hospitable and welcoming meeting space. We are very pleased to have completed this work in summer 2013.
		The new entrance from the High Street is a whole lot more accessible for all who visit St Andrews. Behind the new entrance lies the Welcome Area which is light and airy with plenty of space for people to gather and for visitors to be made welcome. The new welcome space is a modern hall alongside the worship area, but separate from it; worship is visible through glass doors to the side.
Thanks to the Starbeck Welcome Project we can offer good hospitality to everyone who comes into the St Andrew’s premises. We were very pleased to welcome the community of Starbeck into our new facilities for the official opening on Saturday September 14^th 2013
